Please Look 2001+ D15B??
What Civic does this engine come in? I saw it when i went to a place where they sell jap and i asked the guy if he had any d15bs for a 92 hatch. he told me yeah and he showed me a new civic engine and when i went to look at the engine number it said D15B!!!??!! i was wondering what car it came in cuz it looked exactly like our d17s but it said d15b. if anyone can help id appreciate it

Rep Power: 0 he showed me a new civic engine and when i went to look at the engine number it said D15B!!!??!! i was wondering what car it came in cuz it looked exactly like our d17s but it said d15b.

it looked exactly like the d17a2 but it said d15b. i remember last night i was reading threads and they were talking about lxs having d15bs ( they were talking about turboing it in the thread) but i dont know if they carry d15bs in new civics in japan thats why im asking. trust me the d15 that i saw had everything that our d17a2 had but it was from japan. the reason that guy only had one was because he had ordered d15b's (92+hatch motor and w/e) and they sent him the old d15bs along w that new one and he was selling it for $400 so w/e i just want to know what car that comes in in japan. thanks guys

Rep Power: 0 in the philippines my 7thgen sohc civic is a d16 with a 3stage vtec in it! and it also looks like the d17's in the US but the difference is mine has a 3 stage vtec (two solenoids)
QUESTION: the engine looks the same the only difference is our vtec (mine has 3 and in the US has 2 only) my question is ARE THE INTERNALS LIKE CAMSHAFTS, VALVE SPRINGS, VALVES, RETAINERS, CAMGEARS AND STUFF IN THE CYLINDER HEAD THE SAME? HOW ABOUT THE ECU (COMPUTER BOX)? thnx!
