Smile New Civic Owner. Two questions.

So I just, against my better judgment, bought an '03 Si with K20A2 head and pistons installed on the K20A3. Runs fine, sounds like **** (exhaust is horribly raspy)

I have read that many people recommend that one uses the Type-S oil pump as well.

My questions are as follows:

1. I will just daily this car (not looking to take home any SCCA accolades with it), do I need to swap to the A2 oil pump or not? If so, is there a good write-up on the process, detailing everything I need?

2. It has the factory Si ECU. Should I get the ECU from the RSXS or the "Kpro" I keep hearing about? I assume that I will have key fob problems with either option, so what is the best way to here?

Thank you for reading.
If I missed the answer to this solution in my search, then excuse the dumb. I am trying to get parts ordered ASAP if needed to get me on the road confidently and quickly.

Re: New Civic Owner. Two questions.

It's fine the way it is especially if you're just daily-ing it

Re: New Civic Owner. Two questions.

If that is the case then I will get the ECU and leave it as is for a while. Then, when I finally do car about power, I will finish the K20A2 swap rather than just using the hybrid set-up.

This means I get to put my money into coilovers and exhaust that doesn't suck, haha.

Thanks Colin42
