k20 help

I need some help or expertise on my k20 swap. I was wondering how can make the engine work in my 2001 honda civic with the immobiliser problem. My car will not except the ecu unless i get the key flashed at the dealer but the dealer will not able to able flash it because it is a non us version...Will removing the immobilizer allow my car to start up or will it not run at all. another question will this not allow me to flash my ecu through hondata..
Any help will be greatly apprecaited

I'm assuming you have the K20a then, I don't really know what you could do to get this to work if you don't have the original key and iginition from the K20a engine. You may just have to get the K20a2 ecu and get the type r flash from hondata

If you search for dc5@em2's first post on the completion of the swap, I think he said he had to send it to doug @hondata. To get the immobilizer bypassed.

If you have a non US ecu, then Hondata will not be able to reflash it, or at least not yet from what I know. You can though, get a US RSX-S ecu, and have Honda reflash that, along with the new Immobilizer to get your car started, then send that to Hondata for their K20A program. If you remove the immobilizer setup, from the civic, with a K20A ecu, it should work, considering the JSpec ecu, doesn't have an immobilizer unit like ours do......This is all speculation though, mine was a K20A2.....sorry, not for sure.

Most alarm shops know how to bypass the immobilizer.
This allows them to install an aftermarket alarm
that will allow the windows to automatically roll up
when you arm (lock) the car.
