Sunroof drain hose connector?

Good afternoon, I took out the headliner to get replaced. I noticed the drain hose for the sunroof kind of dangling on the passenger side. Looks like the connector that the hose connects to dried up and broke. Can that plastic piece be replaced? I looked at hondaparts now and see that there is a plastic piece there, but there isn't a number associated to it. I appreciate the help!

ok, found a picture of the piece. Not very optimistic.. Do they sell that piece separate or is it a direct part of the assembly. It is pretty much dust at this point...
OR- has someone figured out that a particular hose could fit there and connected to the drain hose?

If the parts diagram doesn't give a part number, then it cannot be purchased separately. If it separates from the railing easily, you could go check some at the junkyard.

Re: Sunroof drain hose connector?

I thought about that too. Given I live in Tucson- desert heat, I figured the same thing would happen with one from a junkyard. BUT it never hurts to try. I will check it out to see if it is something can be removed.. I REALLY don't want to buy the whole sunroof rail.... If I come up with a workaround- I'll post the details here.

Re: Sunroof drain hose connector?

ok. Think I figure out a fix. I have an old small plastic watering can. I should be able to cut part of the spout off and super glue it to the inside of the plastic piece that remains. I can leave along enough section so that the hose goes on it far enough that even if the clip doesn't hold it super tight, any water will still just go down the hose.
Appreciate the time gang,
