Vacuum hose? Sealing, plugging?

I removed my aftermarket cruise control yesterday off my 98CivicDX which required removing a vacuum line/hose that connected to it. I did not install this cruise control and yesterday was my first time fiddling with one. Anyways, I'm left with this vacuum hose that is connected to a larger hose that leads to my intake manifold. Do I plug this hose at its end Or do I completely remove the hose and seal off the larger hose somehow? Is this vacuum hose factory or was it aftermarket? I'm not using this hose for cruise control anymore so I might as well remove it, right? What should be my next steps?

Just cut it down to manageable size and plug it with a bolt.

Re: Vacuum hose? Sealing, plugging?

sucks they cut your original hose already. if it were me, i would just get another hose and replace it. or actually you can prolly find a "hose repair" kit that has a spacer with no extra T so all you do is use it to connect the hoses back together. and maybe put some clamps. just be sure to get the right size as they have many kinds. usually they are metal but ive seen plastic too which is fine for vacuum.

Re: Vacuum hose? Sealing, plugging?

So, they cut/tapped/T'd the brake booster vacuum hose and ran a vacuum hose to the CC unit. I guess that means the free CC vacuum hose shown in pictures was aftermarket. I think I will replace the brake booster vacuum hose but temporarily plug the CC vacuum hose with a bolt or vacuum hose plug until I can order this part or I might look for hose spacer with no T like also mentioned. Quick glance on ebay they run $15-35 but might find on a Honda parts website. Thanks for the advice "lazlong" and "gearbox". Also, would there be a better way of doing this vacuum line if I wanted to reinstall the cruise control?

Re: Vacuum hose? Sealing, plugging?

I've been unsuccessful finding this part on Honda parts sites or ebay. I found one on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=370403115304) but the seller says it is just for my car type made in Japan and would be incompatible with mine.

Where's a good place to find a hose repair kit for a spacer instead of a T?
