Girlfriends 2000 civic SE 4door

was broken into by thoughtless thieves.

They completely broke the climate control plastic frame... 125$ on ebay
stole her dual audio stereo.... 99$ with my reggae cd in it
replaced with older clarion for 50$+quick release harness=10$

There point of entry was the rear passenger side vent window
50$ at a junk yard....
took off the door panel, took out the old window and *(stupidly)* tossed old weatherstrip with broken window in it.

The junk yard replacement came out of a 97, but i am told they match up perfectly.

Window fit in a snug, snapped tabs into place, replaced door pannel
and window still leaking air, and when the rain comes i am sure it will leak that as well.

I cant find much info on replacing this vent window, or how to seal it more.

Almost to the point of taking it in to a glass shop and paying more ridiculous prices to fix something that should have never been broken in the first place..


any help is greatly appreciated, would like to get back working on my 82 accord hatchback ;-) and done with this stupid canadian civic P.O.S.


just in case you were wondering, since the break in I went out and picked up one of the new viper alarms, with a little phone looking key fob that tells her when her car is open and if the alarm is going off, also when the alarm goes off the car will shoot live video footage for like 5 minutes I think it is.

I also wrote in paint pen on the new vent window these words:
"any and all thieves or vandals will be shot, and then prostituted on site"
