Help with Cup holder/center console replacement

So I really hate the cup holder location on my 01 civic. I just think it's really stupid to have the DC outlet right in front of the cupholder. I can only have one drink in my car while my passenger has to hold their drink the entire time. I would like to know if anyone has come up with a solution. Whether it was moving the DC outlet to a different location or changing the center console. I've Google searched and Youtubed for any solutions and haven't seen any.

You could extend the wires and move the socket to wherever you're willing to drill a hole, just keep in mind you need enough room behind the hole to accommodate the socket

Do you have something plugged into the outlet at all times? I get two cups in all the time but I rarely ever use the outlet.

I agree with your post however I have a 2 port USB adapter plugged in all the time and it allows (albeit tight) for both cupholders to be used at the same time.

I do always have a car charger in the outlet. I've been trying to find another charger that would suit me better. But I still feel like the cup holders are in a bad spot and it really bugs me. I just figured I would ask to see if someone had come up with something.

Re: Help with Cup holder/center console replacement

i feel like the cup holders could be a little deeper, but there is nowhere else that they would fit
