I really hate the center console in the 2004 civic. i dont want it because it makes it hard to shift considering i am 6'4 so i sit way far back from it anyways but does anybody know how to get the 2001 center console or anybody know who could make me a custom one. please help.

at the very beginning of 04, they actually had a DX trim level (when vp wasnt the lowest). i have seen a few 04 dx's, and they dont have a center console, they are like the 01-03's i believe.

they have it right here, but its gonna cost a lot of money to get all the parts: center console

i have a 01 and i wanted the 03+ center console, but now you're making me think twice cuz i hated the built in arm rest on the driver seat of my car cuz it got in the way of shifting. i need to drive a stick of the new civics to see what it feels like.

Which storage compartment do you mean? The one on the console where your armrest is or the one on cig lighter piece? It's for an automatic but you should be able to swap your original one in if not then it shouldn't cost more than couple bucks. It's in black.

The arm rest i hate that thing makes sifting harder since i am way far away from the ****. I need the ceneter console with no armrest thingy compartment

There is no ugly compartment that is blocking you from shifting, instead there is a small pocket on the console that allow you to storage a little bit of stuffs like car charger and stuff...There is absolutely nothing blocking you at all

thanks stephon but i got this idea of cutting the center console then putting the arm rest back on once i have the arm rest cutt down really low. so i will being doing this soon and i think i might try to diy it if it works

No i am going to cut it really short then re apply the arm rest that way it still looks like it is on there but it is real low to the ground or the top of the center console
it will look stock but real low as if there isnt any storage sompartment. NO BIG HOLES AND STILL A LIL ROOM TO STORE STUFF

I have an '04 manual coupe. I was wondering if I was to purchace a center console out of an '02 civic, would it fit without any problems? Does anyone know if I have to buy any extra parts or what not? I mean, does all the holes fit in?

I have no problems with my center console on my 04 5 speed. It gives me a place to rest my arm. My girl has an 01 LX and it drives me crazy theres nowhere to put my arm. hell if you got a tan one ill trade you my girls console

i dont think it will fit an 04 beecuase they moved the 044 parking brake handle over about an 1inch to 1.5 inches over to the right

actually its just the 01-02 style they changed the interior in 03, but i would say the 02 , because it has a cover over the cup holders is the difference between 01- to 02
