SRS light came off
hello, i ve been struggling yesterday and today. when i was about to go to work yesterday morning after driving 2-3 miles, car died on me. i took the battery to charge it and was ok. then they recommend to test alternator. after testing they said voltage regulator wasnt good. so i got a new alternator. but i got SRS light came off before alternator replacement. does anyone know what SRS stand for?.

Thats the airbag system. The light will come on when there's voltage issues. Take that alternator back and get an oem one. Either new or from a junkyard.

If your alternator isn't working at all and you're running off nothing but battery, if you shut off everything but the engine (no A/C, radio, lights), you might get 30 minutes out of it, then you'll be stranded on the side of the road.
