SRS permanently on ….2001 civic executive
SRS permanently on ….2001 civic executive
I’ve read through dozens of threads to try to locate my actual problem, but as yet cannot find anything or anyone with my problem..
which is, my SRS light is permanently on, doesn’t flash, doesn’t flicker, does not go out, it’s just stays on ..
I’ve tried to reset it, by using the yellow plug 2 pin plug.
and I’ve tried flashing the fault codes with the blue 2 pin plug..
the srs light simply stays on solid.. it does not go out, so cannot flash.. is stays on when the key Is in any position during the code finding..
all the posts I have read so far, state, that after inserting the ‘ bridging tool , or paper clip etc, the srs light goes off, and will then start to give out flashes ( fault codes) well my light stays on so cannot flash … the same when the yellow reset plug is bridged… the light is permanently on… so does not offer any flashes …
interestingly, when I bridge the blue 2pin plug , I do get a code from the esp warning light (2,2) ….
also at the same time , the abs light comes back on then goes out and stays out ..so I assume there is no faults in the abs , but fault 2.2 in the steering, but the srs light simply stays on and refuses the give up any codes … the ecu is plugged in.. so I can assume the blue plug is doing it’s job…..
I’ve tried disconnecting the battery overnight.. so now any suggestions will be greatly received

Re: SRS permanently on ….2001 civic executive
There is troubleshooting for this in the service manual, page 23-148. There are too many steps for me to list them in my reply but first step is to check fuse 13 (10A) in under-dash box.
