Inner tie rods banging and thumping [solved]
Hey everyone...my 2003 Civic EX coupe automatic transmission has a miserable banging noise coming from the inner tie rods. They were replaced less than two years ago (aftermarket parts) and have never been right. Anyone else experience this? Any recommendations for aftermarket parts that won't have this issue?

What brand did you go with? There are some great OEM equivalents or even some that surpass OEM for relatively cheap. Moog and Dorman are excellent options off the top of my head.

the ones I put on were from Detroit Axle...which I can truthfully say are junk.....but I've heard good things about Moog...and they are reasonably priced. What sucks is that I have to pay a mechanic to install them and then have it aligned..and I just had it aligned...

thanks! that's the information I've received...yep....Detroit Axle comes up first when doing a search...but trust me...unreliable parts, and all they wanted to do is charge me for shipping and send me MORE bad parts...lesson learned...I'll go with Moog
