Okay but how do I get to the top passenger side one…. I’ve been workin on my civic all day got so much done but the final thing is getting these sway bar links tightened. I got them both in and the nut on but I can’t really get in there with a ratchet for the top one let alone a Allen key
Please dont revive 18 year old threads.
Get in there with a wrench? You shouldn't have to use an allen on a brand new link
… I will revive an 18 year old thread cause this what I’m workin on and can’t find a solution dumbest idea I’ve heard get in there with a wrench yes plz tell me how I’m suppose to get a wrench n there
Suspension loaded? I have the car on both sides lifted, both links are on an screwed in a little bit, I tightened the right side a little bit with a wrench holding the bolt and using a ratchet but I can’t tighten it anymore without the bolt spinning so I figure I Needa use a Allen, an a close end wrench to get it where it Needa be
If the red circled part below doesn't have two flat surfaces for a wrench, then you will have to use an allen wrench. Most aftermarket brands I've seen don't use an allen, but OEM does.
Also, if you take the link off the control arm side on both driver and passenger, you might be able to swing the way bar up or down giving more clearance. Put both links on the sway bar first and tighten before connecting to the control arms. I've never needed to do that but just a thought.
