Question Steady grinding noise front passenger side

I've been driving my 05 LX for years now and never heard any grinding noises... until I was driving shotgun and I heard this awful, steady grinding noise coming from the wheel area. It also makes this "alien ufo" high-pitched sort of oscillating whine noise when turning at high speeds, idk how else to describe it lol. Is this the wheel bearing? Lower ball joint?

Re: Steady grinding noise front passenger side

Sounds like it'd be a wheel bearing issue.

Jack up the front and spin that side. Take off the tire and spin the hub if you need to get your ear closer to try and determine the source of the sound

I have also had small stones, grit, and salt get stuck between the dust shield and rotor. Causing grinding/screeching noises until it knocks itself loose.

Wheel bearing, dust shield, or something jammed in the brake

Re: Steady grinding noise front passenger side

What would cause the oscillating whine noise at high speeds while turning? Same thing or are they unrelated?

I’m having the same sounds/symptoms. Could it be the cv axle? That might explain the extra grinding when turning… my boot is cut and looks like it’s flinging grease everywhere
