Question Should I Replace Camber Bolt?

When installing front strut/spring assembly in 2003 civic, if a camber bolt is found, should it be replaced with standard bolt? Vehicle not lowered, suspect it may have been in collision.
Should I expect extra cost to have wheel alignment performed?

Cheers!

Re: Should I Replace Camber Bolt?

No, both bolts on driver side are normal.
On passenger side the upper bolt is the camber bolt with the tab on the nut which keeps it from spinning. The lower bolt is normal. Both the upper and lower bolts have the head on the right hand side of strut nearest front of vehicle.
Thanks for your interest.

Re: Should I Replace Camber Bolt?

If you do replace it keep the camber bolt in case they have issues. Extra cost no but I would mention to the alignment shop that it had a camber bolt on that side if they have issues with it.

If it had both sides, it could have meant that it was lowered, but returned to stock springs.
only one side... you might be right...
like golnat said, keep it for when you go to align it.

ask alignment guys to look for anything strange when they align?
