Compliance bushing tool kit

I am going to try and swap my compliance bushings. Does anyone know which OEM press tool kits I will need to loan from autozone?

Anyone know? Is this the one, or are there others that I would need?

Re: Compliance bushing tool kit

Take your new bushing in (and the control arm) and match up whatever tools fit the parts.

You'll need one cup that can push the outer ring of the bushing AND fit through the hole in the control arm, and another ring large enough to sit under the arm and receive the bushing as it is pressed through. Same deal to press the new one in.

I just looked in my info and it's practically worthless. Guess how I find the tools I need...

Is this inner ridge part of the bushing that I want to press out or is this part of the actual control arm?

The new one is still in shipping. Just wanting to get as far as I can before it comes I guess.

Yes your arrow appears to be pointed at the outer ring.
The rubber was bonded to that ring.

NOTE the bushing has to be oriented a certain direction, the gaps in the rubber have to be in certain places. Use the originals as your guide if possible, mark positions before removal and mark the new in the same place (see your FSM)

Re: Compliance bushing tool kit

I started taking the old one out before marking it. I assume it's just the same positioning as the other side, just inverted, right? Also, do I want to grease the new one before installing? it's OEM, not poly.
