Brake line replacement

Hi everyone,

First post for myself on this forum. I own a 2004 honda civic Lx which has lived in the rust belt up in NY its whole life. Recently had the vehicle at the mechanic shop for some routine maintenance and my mechanic noted that my lines underneath the car are pretty rusted and may be a matter of time before one breaks. Ive had 2 experiences with lines breaking on this car due to the rust. So i know it's in my best interest to make a decision to repair these lines.

i found this kit on ebay allowing to replace all the lines with stainless steel braided. Does anyone have any knowledge of of doing this install on their vehicle with this kit ? Or may have any suggestions or recommendations for making a repair like this.

Thank you.

Re: Brake line replacement

I replaced all my lines with NiCop tube. Cutting, bending, and flaring it all myself. NiCop can be bent by hand and also will not rust. I used stainless steel fittings as well. All in cost was under $100.
