The sensor? It's OEM Honda $218 or first born male at Riverside Honda. I know they're cheaper online but I'm sick of waiting 2 weeks for every new part to chase this beast back on the road.

Edit: i found a weird thing. The cruise control cable was keeping the throttle plate open about 25% or so making it rev up to the limiter non-stop when started. I disconnected the cable and now it starts and idles, though with the P0335 code intact, and 3500 rev limit.

I'm going to tear the top off again and make sure the timing didn't skip a beat, maybe double check the valve lash again since it was rather noisy at idle.

Found a/the problem... all of the teeth on the timing gear are sheared off!
I'm beginning to belive this isn't a 30k mile engine. ..

I am thinking a lucky rock or bolt got in there.
only 1 of the lower timing cover bolts were connected, the cover was cracked/separated/broken on the other 3
what I don't understand is how the car drove the past 10,000 miles with all this stuff wrong with it and not throw a code

it looks like my assumption was correct. Something definitely got in there shredded the teeth and exited violently out the bottom left side tearing the lower timing cover and creating a jagged mating surface on the Block

Epilogue:
Replaced the timing sprocket and lower timing cover, put it all back together and she's purring like a 20 year old kitten.
The exhaust manifold bolt holes had been helicoiled before and will not hold full torque but it did not leak, also had to helicoil a hole for the valve cover and it seeps a little in the corner (didn't replace the gasket I've had enough throwing parts at this thing)
Once you get the crank bolt off the rest is just plugging/unplugging electrical and removing/replacing bolts and nuts. It would be helpful to have a garage and more helpful to have a lift but it is what it is. I may report back with compression numbers but for now I'm done wrenching.
