04 SI Hatchback Idle Problems
So I have an 04 civic si hatchback with 178k on. When I start the car it will idle constantly up and down up to 3k rpms as if someone is stepping on and off the gas pedal and won’t go away. Anybody know what it could be and best way to fix it?

Any faults? Idle air control valve (IACV) are known to gum up causing idle issues. You can try taking it off and cleaning.

Ok no no faults no CEL either someone told me it could be throttle position sensor but I will try that too. Thanks!

vacuum leaks can cause similar idle issues.
