2001 civic in park with D flashing[solved]
just swapped transmission in my 2001 honda civic ex. Added5 qts of fluid then started car up to add rest and noticed that "D" is flashing and car is in park. I jacked it up and pulled shift cable off figuring i put it on wrong. When i manually shift the trans the Flashing D on the dash does not change? do I have a bad sensor? i used all the sensors that were on the transmission because they all seemed ok( no visible signs of damage)
any thoughts?

the check engine light was on, pulled the code P1753-
Converter Clutch Solenoid Valve
swapped the solenoid with the one on the old transmission, the one on the new one was cracked, and this solved the problem
