Issues after driving through high water

Re: Issues after driving through high water
I suspect two things, your gear range selector which is really low on the case might have water in it (even though it should be sealed).
Or your tranny dipstick was loose and let water into the case. These cars over 100k miles always have loose dipsticks when people dont take care of them. If you went through water that was significantly higher than the dipstick hole, (around the middle of the wheel) pressure could force water in there.
If water got in there, it could screw up the hydraulic manifold. Because water is the nemesis to transmissions, that would be really bad. Thats a rebuild. Water turns manifold gaskets into glue.
Look at the transmission oil to see if its milky.
