Transmission range switch
Transmission range switch
My 2001 ex was throwing an engine code for transmission range switch, so I replaced it (literally just unplugged old one and plugged new one in). Now when I start the car it shows it’s in neutral even though it’s in park, and won’t let me shift into any of the other gears. Any idea what might be going on?
Re: Transmission range switch
Apparently you have to adjust it so that it’s in park when you put it on. I adjusted it, but it kept slipping and messing up after you shift through the gears a few times. I got it in the right position and tried to tighten it enough that it wouldn’t budge when the gears shift, but then the bolt broke off in it. I’m my way to get an easy out and a new bolt right now.
