Hey, i have a 01 lx(manual).. as of right now my 5th gear is popping out like crazy... does that mean my tranny is slipping? what should i do? should i only fix that one gear? could it be my gear linkage? my clutch? and could you guys tell me how much it would cost.. damn im soo pissed.. i just got my 2 motor mount & transmission mount fix last week....~!@~!

How many miles do you have? Its a common problem on the 01-02 civics. There is a technical service bulletin. Try calling your dealer and explaining the problem and see if they can help you out.

honda trans is garbage. replacing it will only fix it for now until it breaks again. dont they have aftermarket clutch for our civic yet?

i have 50,100 miles on it right now.. and the funny thing is.. it didnt pop out for the last 2 days... so, hmmm....

Sometimes it only pops out when its cold outside, thats the times when my 2nd gear pops out.

Exedy and ACT make clutches for our cars $300+

but will that fix the slipping problem though???
my 01 vic mt grinds and does not always engage Reverse....will the new clutch fix that????

Getting a stronger clutch will not make your gear Poping go away...You can try changin the Trans fluid, but thats something to do with the gears itself.....Changing the clutch for stronger one it will only help when you have to much power that you stock clutch can't handle and it make it slip....but doesn't have anything to do about gears poping out.....

well i dont think the stock tranny can handle the base power lol. try some synthetic fluid maybe that will help.
