Hey guys, just recently i have noticed a whining noise as i reverse, its hard to tell where its coming from. As soon as i start to reverse i can notice it, however, when i apply the brakes while reversing its gone. Not until i release the brakes the noise is noticable again. Any feedback or advice would be appreciated.

bro, i know there is supposed to be a slight whining noise, i've heard it before. This one is a more high pitched whining noise and louder too.

My reverse noise is freakin loud as all hell. Ppl turn around its embarassing.

Mine is high pitch also, thats what you have, its normal. I think it has to do with a spider gear?? Corrections appreciated,

Mine is doing the same thing too is getting louder and louder it's actually turning the cameras on because there's always a so loud when you get to my house this cameras that I activated by sound a movement and the noise is so loud that it activates the cameras and I've already been asked by my landlord what is wrong with my vehicle because the whining is just louder and louder I am bringing it in but the guy isn't there till Monday so it's going to be a whole week that it's going to be whining like that so I think it would be dangerous to take it on the highway it sounds like it's coming from the rear and the same thing when I put on my break

I have the same exact issue it's louder than normal so loud others r always looking only in reverse as of now and I put breaks it stops

Reverse will always whine because of how the gears are machined. That being said, if yours is significantly louder compared to other cars check the trans fluid level and condition
