Hi Folks,

I have a 2004 Civic DX - Special Edition, and the gauge cluster works intermittently. Some times it just doesn't show any reading and the needles won't move for days on end. Other times it just starts working in between my drive to work or back. It's a bit concerning especially when I can't see what speed I'm travelling at or check how much gas I have left, in the tank. I tested my batteries and also the fuse #10 - 7.5 A under the steering inside the car using a multi meter and they are good. I'm not sure if I should be removing the gauge cluster and re-fixing the wire harnesses at the back would help. Any thoughts or suggestions? I have a road test to give in 10 days and I'm hoping the gauge cluster works on the test. Thankyou!

You're going to have to pull the cluster and look at the wires/connectors. Probably releated to your bulb issue. Could try testing with another cluster to eliminate that variable. Does the car have an aftermarket deck?

No the car does not have a deck. Just the stock CD Rom and Radio. I did try another cluster like for like and it now works just fine. Only trouble is I have a lower Odometer (digital) reading. I have to find a way to get the reading accurate to the actual distance covered by the car!
