doors spontaneously locking - 2005 Civic
Hey all. My son has a 2005 Civic and the doors keep spontaneously locking on him. He will start the car and get out to brush off the snow and the doors will lock. He will get in the car, keys still in hand, and look at his phone (or whatever) and the doors will lock. So, it has happened multiple times with keys in or out of the ignition and with the car running or not. The car is in park the whole time. Where do we start with fixing this problem? For now, it's a good thing we have a spare key. Thanks!

Check the door light switches... I had similar problem, would unlock the car.. (normal operation is if if you unlock the and do not open a door it automatically re-locks in 30 seconds), One day I unlocked the car and as I usually do while loading my kayak on the roof I opened the door and tossed the keys in on the seat, closed the door and 30 seconds later it locks..
It turned out to be the door open/closed switch failed.. check and see if the dome/map/courtesy light come on when you open the door ?
