Seat Belt light & SRS light issue.

Seat Belt light & SRS light issue.
New to me 2002 EX Coupe, I'm chasing down electrical issues.
The seat belt light comes on for a second at most, then turns off. The SRS light stays illuminated.
When sitting in the car, unbuckled, and starting the car, the seat belt light illuminates for a second then turns off. I can buckle & unbuckle the seat belt a dozen times and I can not get any response from the red seat belt light in the dash. It never illuminates again, until the car is turned off and repeat the process.
I'm going to start with pulling the drivers seat out and see if someone did some "janky" repair.
Any other suggestions to look at?
