2001 ex sedan cruise control issues.

When I first got the car (a couple of weeks ago) the cruised worked a couple of times but not consistently. The few times it worked, the light on the dash came on, but the main switch light never did. I pulled main switch and two of the terminals were kind of corroded so I cleaned them with sandpaper and put a little bit of lithium grease on it, still doesn’t work. The dash control looks fine. Checked all of the fuses with a test light and they are fine. It’s an auto and the brake lights work so I don’t think it’s the switch on the brake pedal. SRS light is on. Any suggestions of what to check next?

think there's two switches, the other one is stuffed way up in the dash

Would it be connected to the other switch with a wire? How would I chase it down? I had read somewhere that the air bag light that is on could be causing it, but I’m not sure how

Update, I cleaned the throttle body last night, and I was checking the tightness of the cable. Everything seemed fine, and I didn’t really do anything to it, but the cruise worked on my commute this morning. We’ll see if it keeps working. Also, it’s running a lot better and at lower RPM after cleaning throttle body. Used to run 4500 @ 80mph and this morning it was running less than 3500
