Ticking noise from engine [solved]

I have a 2005 Honda Civic EX SE and this is the first Civic I've ever had, is this a normal ticking noise? sound is most prominent at idle

Sounds like valve tick. It's fairly normal. If you're feeling frisky, do a valve clearance adjustment

Ah okay thank you. If it is valve tick, is it the kind of normal where it won't cause any problems if it isn't addressed, or does it need to be taken care of?

easy enough to take care of.
yes, many issues from consumption to wear to loss of power, etc

not terribly pressing, but it'd behoove you to get the valve lash adjustment done due to the reasons @sdaidoji said. Fuel efficiency, power, run smoother and quieter. Those are the big things that'll be affected
