So i have an 05 Honda Civic Lx 1.7 and i’m having trouble finding out what goes on this top hole. Is it a hose? Cap? It’s on my intake on the right side below the fuel rail. When i put my finger over it, it sucks and my car idles lower.


No clue what the connection right above the hose is.

Vacuum connection for cruise maybe? Should just be able to put a standard vacuum cap on it.

I think it's just supposed to be capped. A vacuum leak can cause idle issues.

Cruise control is all electronic in 7th gens, no vacuum input.

The hose on the bottom is. There is a fitting right above the hose too.

yeah, I was referring to the barb above the existing hose. I can't remember wtf that other one was. Definitely too small to be brake booster, and iirc, brake booster comes off the aft side of the IM

edit: did a bit more searching, particularly on ebay, since when they sell intake manifolds they usually have the hoses attached. Every single one I found has that port capped off, regardless if they have the PCV vacuum tube attached or not. I swear, if that's capped off on every D17 intake mani, I'm gonna be pissed at myself. Could have used that for a vacuum manifold instead of cutting the brake booster line.

I was thinking the molded plastic actually blocked that fitting. Meaning that is wasn't actually a vacuum source. It seems I was wrong.
