So I have my 2001 Honda Civic EX and it's throwing a P0141. Since my catalytic converter was unfortunately stolen since I live in NYC. I have some questions before I figure out what to do about this. Can I drive the car with this code? Would it cause any issues. The O2 sensor was cut off along with the cat. Since NYC is carb compliant I can't just get any catalytic converter. Maybe I should just straight pipe it lol
Which does make it more of an expensive fix but RockAuto has the cat for $400 which seems like my best option now. Since the O2 sensor was cut, I should be able to just splice in a new connector to fix that? I was able to drive it for a short time and park it safely.
Just wanna give a update, I replaced the catalytic converter along with my exhaust and replaced the O2 sensor. Cel disappeared and car is driving great again.
