Exclamation Recovered my 2000 EX that was STOLEN. Before & After. Advice needed!

Hi Everyone! This is my first post here.
Sooo I just got my car stolen early Monday, they recovered it on Tuesday afternoon. The cops found it on the 710 freeway. wth?! It is currently in an auto shop.

This was when I got it used. all I did to it was repaint it after.

This is what happens when your car gets stolen in Monterey Park, right by my place!

missing:
Fender
Bumper
Grill
Headlights + Foglights
Climate Control
Ignition Punched
Radio
and various smaller electronics in the car.

So since I needed to replace parts, I decided to buy these headlights and foglights:

DEPO 1999-2000 HONDA CIVIC JDM OEM BLK HEAD LIGHT 99-00
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DEPO-...Q5fAccessories

1999-2000 HONDA CIVIC LX EX SI JDM SMOKE OEM FOG LIGHTS

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1999-...Q5fAccessories

Questions:
1. Where should I get a type-r grill that fits well?

2. Any places to install alarms, or even body shop/mechanic for future reference, in Los Angeles you can recommend?

3. I just took it to ZOOM TIRES in El Monte. Any reviews or feedback about them?

4. Any personal experience with getting your car stolen? Pictures? describe? or even stories you've heard!

5. Any RELATIVELY LOW COSTS mods I can do with my car? exterior.

Thanks and have a great day

OMFG totally sucks. I hope you find the guy that did it and give them a beat down. Well... at least they gave you some parts back in exchange for all the trouble right???

Sorry your car got jacked, man. My wishes are for the jackers to be thrashed within an inch of their lives, and spend 5 years in jail.

I have Depo lights and I really like them.
You should install a kill switch so they can't steal it so easy, along with an alarm.

Thanks! that site seems useful. The fake radio is pretty funny too!

And thanks for the advice, I am definitely looking into installing a kill switch too.

hope you get it fixed. i havent seen many stolen cars that are returned in partial condition. usually its either an empty shell or the whole car (if they stole for joyride). or they thought it was the SI and got disappointed after seeing the motor and stopped taking parts off. thieves are complete idiots so you never know for sure.

i didn't paint half the car. my car came ALL SILVER, and i touched it up so the scratches couldn't be seen.

the thieves stole all my bumper/fender and replaced it with their parts. i don't know why. maybe because the weather report said it would rain that day?

This worries me, because I just bought a beautiful low km (98,500) SiR. Why do people still steal these like mad when newer engines can be a lot more powerful and worth a lot more?

Because the newer ones have immobilizer systems.

Which is why the insurance and theft rates are a lot lower.

LOL o rly? That's strange that they would replace them with their own parts.

99-2000 SI (canada SIR) is the most stolen civic, hope you have fun trying to keep it secure. alarm wont cut it. every other year and model of civic is pretty much worthless in comparison. i think its so popular due to the parts it has.
