hey y’all I’m new here my 01 civic makes this rough,grunt, repetitive sort of noise after a long time being off ( probably 8-10+ hours or so if I had to take a wild guess ) after start up , especially after a cold start. It’s a lot more noticeable then , it’s a little hard to catch in the video but if you listen closely you can hear it. Wondering what this is? Is this normal ? Probably not right? Forgot to mention that the noise only lasts 30sec-1min max and then eventually runs quiet again. Idk if my file attached correctly, not sure how to upload my video

You could.purchase an auto-stethoscope ($5 Harbor Freight) or use a two foot piece of 3/4" PVC pipe to your ear and the other end against the engine where you think the noise might be emitting from. The pipe or auto-stethoscope will help amplify the noise.

Have a helper start the engine while you listen. If need be you can post a YouTube video of the noise and link it here.
