P1361 - So... to pass smog, I decided to replace the TDC sensor, aka the cam position sensor... which requires removing the valve cover and the timing belt cover. Stupidly, I enlisted my pal's help, since he has a few more tools and experience, although a questionable level of skill. A few moments I wasn't watching, and so I missed when and WHERE he pulled an aluminum spacer... grommet from. Of course it was left over after we put everything back together, and my maestro mechanic bud said it was: "extra." Last time I ask for his help of course. Meanwhile... anyone know where it goes? It's about 9mm in diameter, 7mm high, aluminum, no threading, flanged, round with about a 3mm hole in the center. Sound familiar? ...because I can't figure out where my "friend" got it. ps- we did remove the driver's side wheel too, although unnecessarily.
I want to say that's the spacer thing on the injector breakout part of the engine harness (red circle). If it were missing you could still slide the harness onto the stud, the part just below the red circle would still fit on top, then a bracket for the throttle/cruise cables I believe goes on top of them both and is held down by a nut. This would be on the top of the valve cover, back right area.

Yo Brotato... bingo!
It was one of those... I just went and put it back. FYI, they load from the bottom, into those harness holes... and yes, my "professional mechanic" friend cracked the plastic... cinching it down, without that spacer. Anyways, she'll cook now, thank you guys. I'm off to check the code... so hopefully my cheapo knock-off sensor flys... otherwise, I'll be back to ask for a OEM (2nd) replacement recommendation. ; )
