Knocking noise from engine at idle

Hello all I have a 2005 Honda Civic Dx with 174,000 miles. Recently i started to hear a knocking noise at idle, similar to that of a woodpecker every 8 seconds or so, and it speeds up when i hit the gas, but it goes away when I turn the ac on. My mechanic just replaced the timing belt and water pump etc but now he can’t seem to find the problem????!! Any advice from anyone? Gonna try and attach a video of the noise

Ya a video file would be great.

Perhaps it's an AC clutch issue, since the noise goes away when ac is active.

I had the mounting tab at the bottom of the cat/manifold break and cause a similar noise which would go away if I reved the engine above idle and held it
