Fuel Pump Sock/Suction Filter

I bought a fuel pump but the sock that comes with it is shorter than the original. Does it matter? Or can I still use the old sock?

Re: Fuel Pump Sock/Suction Filter

If the original is full of junk trash it, of not it's up to you. I guess theoretically the larger stock filter would have more openings, and therefore be capable of flowing larger amounts of fuel. But you may not need that much flow.
