01 Civic LX 1.7L - Loss of Power at Highway Speeds

Recently, my '01 Civic LX, while on a road trip developed the following Issue:

- Sudden loss of Engine power while accelerating from a stop. Continued to run, but at very low RPMs and unable to go more than 15-20mph. Check Engine Light came on. Pulled off road and turned motor off. Pulled #6 fuse in the Engine Fuse Box and replaced. After approximately 45 minutes, restarted engine and it ran normal for another 150+ miles, then repeated the same symptoms. Repeated the same procedures as above, waited 45 minutes and again all returned to 'normal' for another 150+ Miles.
- Continued trip at speeds less than 50 mph with no 'limping' for 300+ miles, however in the Mountains, symptoms returned again and were remedied with same procedures.
- Returned Home with 6 of the stoppages and surprisingly over 42 MPG!
- Ran codes with a P1298 Code showing. Replaced the ELD and Test Drove (aggressively) for :30 minutes. Check Engine Light returned and R&R #6 Fuse and normal performance returned.
- Ran Code again this morning and it showed the P1298 again from yesterday's Test Drive. NO other Codes present.
- Car has over 140K miles and is in GREAT Shape for it's age. Daily Driver that I have put on 29K miles in the past year!

Replaced with an OEM part?

Is the battery light coming on also or just the CEL?

I don't trust all aftermarket parts. What brand was it? I'd personally try an OEM unit. I don't have much experience with the ELD and all what is inside it but Honda's can be picky about electrical items.

Also check all your grounds and make sure they are tight and clean. Battery + and - also.
