My 2002 civic ex vtec solenoid is leaking oil and i replaced the gasket but im still have oil leaking.i didn't use any other sealant because i dont think i need to ..any solution to this issue?

Did you do both gaskets? Sometimes you need to smear a small amount of Hondabond on the mating surfaces

No i didn't do both gasket because i didn't know that there were two gasket until i installed it and watched a video after. And the dealership changed me $34.00 for just the main solenoid gasket..i took it off in the evening Today and put some gasket on it so tomorrow i will see if its still leaking.

The gasket on top of the solenoid didn't come with the other o e that i bought. And i saw the kit with both gaskets for $17.00 online.i will post an update if it stop leaking or not.

So ,lets give an update on the vtec solenoid that was leaking oil. I took off the solenoid,clean it off and put RTV on it,not much the,just enough to seal it from leak. So this morning i check for oil leak and i was surprised,there was nothing there so thats solved..
