I recently purchased an 01 with 190k miles and motor only has 100k(d17a) but when I bought it it had a cat and resonator but no muffler and I hate the way it sounds but I’m too broke to buy a muffler and have a broken down 01 corolla. Will that muffler hurt the back pressure at all or even be worse than no muffler?

There is basically a 0% chance a Corolla muffler will bolt up to a Civic exhaust. You would have to take it to a shop to be welded on, by that time you'd be better off grabbing one from a junkyard as mentioned above.

There is no flange on the whole exhaust system. The car and the resonator are both welded on and it’s just straight pipe from the resonator back so they’re gonna have to weld it on anyway and tbh I don’t have the time or money to go to a scrap yard atm. I just need to know if it will do any harm to the motor
