So I have been having some of the typical head gasket issues, but couldn’t find a leak, and the oil looks fine, and did an exhaust test and it came back fine. However I finally cleaned the engine good and found the leak. It appears to be coming from the left side of the cylinder head. I’m assuming this means new head gasket? Any other tests I should do to confirm, or is it for sure head gasket? I’ll post a picture of where the leak is. Oh and it’s a 2003 civic ex with the d17 a2. Leak location on top and it’s running down the block/trans. Leak location circles from further back. Can’t tell if it’s just oil or oil and coolant, looks like a mix
Yes the coolant reservoir has been getting full but not going back into the reservoir. I have already changed the cam plug, but where is the vtec solenoid?

Sounds suspiciously like a bad head gasket. There are a few threads around here with instructions on how to test. Definitely recommend looking into that before things get worse.

Thanks for the replies guys! The thing is I’ve done most of the tests to check for a bad head gasket including an exhaust gas test and a leak down test and both came back okay, but I'm still having symptoms as if it were a head gasket. So idk lol
