02 non vtec odd thumping after engine replacement
Installed a jdm d17a into my girls 02 Civic. All new seals, gaskets, timing belt set etc. Starts and runs great but as soon as it warms up to near or at operating temp there is a odd thumping sound. It sounds like it could be the timing belt possibly slapping the cover? Maybe air bubbles in the system? We haven't finalized a full burping due to this sound. It's coming from the timing belt/water bump area. Any ideas before I start tearing into it again?
