MIL and Immobilizer problems
2005 Honda Civic VP
5 Spd Man. Trans
1.7 L.
CEL is constant but green security key flashes. Car will crank but seems to be in limp mode as I can’t get the car over 40 MPH. Any ideas ?

Is this a sudden thing or the green key has been flashing as long as you have owned the car?
MIL light on and won’t go over 40 guessing it’s bad crank/cam sensor, but please don’t just go buy parts.
Can you drive it to a autoparts store? They should be able to plug into the car and tell you exactly what reasons the ECU is lighting up the MIL.
