CEL On
CEL On
my cel comes on and stays on,
the car runs perfectly fine with the light on or off, it makes no difference,
i have disconnected the battery for a few hours and the light comes back on within a day or two of driving and stays on till i disconnect the battery again, done that a few times and same result each time,
just wondering if anybody wants to take a guess before i get the codes read,
and i already know what your thinking.....yes the gas cap is tight and its brand new

Re: CEL On
^ everytime I see a '420' code I automatically think it should be a good thing.
Only Honda could ruin that for me.
Obviously it's your forward O2 sensor (I don't know the code for it off hand)

Re: CEL On
The CEL is there for a reason. It keeps coming back on because something is wrong with your POS. Go get it checked for crying out loud and fix the problem!
Although I like the ejector seat fault. Sometimes I wish my car came standard with one, but us sedan drivers get no love.

Blink, or does it pop in to say "hi" and goes on its merry way?
If the former, I'ma guess a p030x. If the latter, *stabs in the dark* PXXXX

Re: CEL On
another guess - it's the cel for the "manual" windows or the "manual" mirrors.
Could be the ABS too, on non-ABS cars.
Maybe Auto trans failing on a "manual" car
:P

Re: CEL On
if you had the comprehension abilities of a kid in grade 6 you would have understood by my original post that i am fixing the problem,
but the word comprehension is most likely too advanced for you

Re: CEL On
1. CEL keeps coming on, you fix it by removing the neg cable, but it comes back on again after a few days.
2. You want us to guess what your problem is before you have the code read.
3. Nowhere in your OP did you say you were going to fix the problem. Hell, you don't even know what the problem is, you want us to guess for cripes sake!
So, did you ever get the code read?
Re: CEL On
OK, so according to your OP:
1. CEL keeps coming on, you fix it by removing the neg cable, but it comes back on again after a few days.
2. You want us to guess what your problem is before you have the code read.
3. Nowhere in your OP did you say you were going to fix the problem. Hell, you don't even know what the problem is, you want us to guess for cripes sake!

why would i bother having the code read if i was not going to fix the problem?.....i would just keep driving the damn car if i didn't intend on fixing it,
it would be obvious to anybody with the common sense of an infant, if i take the time to post here, and take the time to have the code read that i intend on fixing the problem,
your age says 47, are you sure that's not your average % score on your high school exams?.....or maybe your IQ?
please do not breed
problem solved.....O2 sensor

Re: CEL On
your common sense is even worse then your comprehension abilities (or i should say lack of them),
