2001 Civic Need help with code: "P1361"
I have been searching for this problem and end up with no solution.
As many guys out there, I got similar problem: On March 2011, I was on the way to L.A. it was hot and I drove with A.C at around 80mph. Suddenly the CEL ( check engine light) came on, I pulled over and let it sat for an hour then it was fine. It weird. I took it to a local auto shop, it showed the code P1361 ( TDC sensor disconnected), they replaced the new one, it cost me $250.00( good price
).
But next month April 2011, It had the same problem, same code P1361.
Any suggestion guys?! I'm hopeless, my car has been at auto shop for a week, because the CEL was gone 1 day after I brought the car there. They cannot do anything without the CEL.

1. Check the wire connections in the back of the sensor connector.
2. Check connections at the ECM/PCM.
3. Check your grounds.
4. Check the harness, especially where it goes thru the firewall.

That was a long time ago, but I'm dealing with the exact same problem. However... when I replaced the plugs, I found out that someone had used... CRV plugs. I'm guess the wrong sparks might affect the timing, and eventually pop the TDC sensor. Hoping my recent fix, stays fixed.
