I have a 2001 Honda Civic LX. The passenger side brake light doesn't work. The running/night lights work for both tail lights and they use the same bulb however when I brake the drivers side lights up and the passenger side goes out. I have replaced the bulbs recently and can't figure out what is wrong. I have been doing a lot of research and haven't come to an answer. I saw something like a brake switch that might fix it however before I put more time into random things I would appreciate it if someone could give me some advice on this.

It's a 7443 dual filament bulb so maybe the filament for brake is burn. Move the driver side bulb to passenger side and test, so you know it's the bulb or sth. else.

I switched the bulbs and still the same issue. However, I messed up what I said originally. The driver's side brake light is out. I also checked the brake switch and the wires look attached well. I don't know if it will be a power issue as they light up when dark but when I brake it goes out. So its not the bulb or power from what I know. Any ideas? Its also not the fuse.

Test for power and ground at the socket and work your way back until you find the short
