Holding the 1 and the 6 down at the same time and then pressing the power button gives me the code 1562-6749. However, my stereo only has numbers 1-6 on it.
I've yet to be able to find a video detailing the method for this exact stereo (its a CD changer deal), every bit of advice is for a typical stereo so maybe I'm missing something here, but I cannot put in the 7 or the 9 in the last part of the unlock code. Anyone have any ideas how to go about circumventing this?

The number you get from the radio is the serial number. You need that and the VIN to get the radio unlock code. Either a Honda dealership or some websites can get you the unlock code.

As soon as you power on the radio it should be asking for a code.
