Window only go one way

so i determined the wiring is bad based on research and testing. this is or the passenger side window, I pulled the two wire out of the connector and connect to the main harness in reverse and the window will go up or down this way. I am not going to figure out the wiring inside the car, not worth the time.

My question is what would you recommend, modify the switch so the down button will reverse polarity, which i am not sure about the wiring on harness, or simply get a 12v 20A type of reversible switch and then tap in the two wire connector on the window regulator and then add this switch to the door handle. doesn't look like anyone did this yet on the internet. i am sure someone did but just don't bother posting. car is 2004 civic hybrid.

i am lazy i looked at all the switches is 6 pin and you have to do a wire cross yourself. isn't there a switch just have 4 pin or 2 pin which you can simply connect the wire on it and then it will switch for you, so like internal wiring done. i didn't find anything like this on the internet.

the switch on the driver side doesn't work for the passenger side at all up or down, previous owner cut the window regulator cable and just use wire to hold the window in closed position. i got an used regulator off ebay and replaced the old broken one to find out why they did what they did lol. most certain the wire is bad either on the passenger or driver door. everything else is good like power mirror and locks.

hopefully get some reply, thanks : )

also funny thing is wife doesn't open window hate the wind when driving. so i am really just fixing this for fun myself since i got the car cheap, 800 CAD lol, put in grid charger and having fun with that as well.

Not a DIY, moving to proper section.

I would recommend fixing it properly. Broken wires in the driver door harness are common (where they bend every time the door is opened).

New harness is like $50, or fix the wires yourself for less than $15 (did that on my 05)
