2005 honda civic while driving the car has a power surge
Hello all , a couple months back i did a transmission conversion on my car i went from automatic to 5 speed standard, and now when i drive the car and try to push it meaning i plant my foot on the throttle the car surges and all the gauges flicker on and off and the radio and headlight do the same thing , ive checked all the grounds i could find in the engine bay and looked over everything i just dont know what else to look for at this point, ive also checked with a multimeter if my battery and alternator are good and they are , the car is still drive able but i dont want to drive on the highway just incase this were to happen.
any help would be verry much appreciated and thank you too everyone that will take there time to help me

Do you have a loose battery cable? Also loose alternator mounting bolts can cause odd electrical issues.
Check grounds as well. You should have a ground from the radiator support to the water passage and another from the top of the trans to the battery. Also recheck all connectors that you removed.

Fyi you can't put a b series in these cars without a bunch custom fab work. Im guessing you didn't tighten something when you manual swapped it. Probably alternator bolts, could also be battery cable or ground as Brotato suggested

I'd guess loose alternator belt.
when the rpm jumps up, the crank pulley can free spin because the extra torque breaks the friction between the belt and crank pulley, while the belt basically floats, causing voltage drop.
happened to me, my battery light became a vtec light, lol.

i know its gonna take alot of custom fab work but i think it would be totally worth it, and i did figure out the problem it was a loose alternator belt thanks for your help guys
