New alternator, new battery but not charging?
New alternator, new battery but not charging?
This is for the 7th gen (2001 - 2005) Civic.
Replaced by car battery and alternator. Still only getting around 12.7 volts with headlights and fan on at the battery terminal.
Of course, after a couple of starts, the battery loses it charge and the car needs a jump start.
Could it be the PCM? I've checked the cables on the battery terminals, and everything is okay except the wire ground from the engine block to the radiator support frame has a white halo around the screw point.
Thanks for the help!

Junk alternator?
Fuse blown for alternator?
Voltage drops in either the hot or ground between alt and battery?
Any decent service manual should have basic troubleshooting information.
