How to move washer fluid reservoir for low beam bulb change?
How to move washer fluid reservoir for low beam bulb change?
Hey gents,
Been using the articles on this site for a while, but finally couldnt find something by searching.
Want to replace my headlights, the low beam on the driver side is giving me a hard time. I changed the high beams simply enough, but I don't know how to get around the windshield fluid reservoir to loosen the screws on the low beam.
Any tips?

not really sure what youre asking, but the washer fluid reservoir is one piece and must be removed by taking off the bumper. same goes for removing the headlamp housings. to remove the bulb, you just lift up the PS fluid reservoir. nothing extra needs to be done and our headlight bulbs are very easy to change.

Are you trying to remove the little circle light that turns on with the first twist of the head light switch?
You don't need to remove the washer reservoir. You can access it from inside the wheel well. Just peel back the fender liner a little bit. There is a diagram in the owner's manual.

Yea, you shouldnt need to remove the washer fluid resevoir to do it...its a tight squeeze, but the bulb is replaceable...and if you really think you have to do it another way, it will be easier to remove the whole headlight, rather than the resevoir, as the bumper will have to come off for both.

**** my life...so I finally changed the bulb
but I dropped a small screwdriver....and it didnt come out the bottom, and no matter where I look, I can't find it.
CAA expired 2 weeks ago apparently and I didnt renew. So this screwdriver drop is probably going to cost me $100 for the tow, plus another hundred at Canadian Tire
And Im missing work to do this, so thats another $100

You dropped it by the headlight? If you want to find it I would loosen the splash guard and fish around you might find it, or pull the bumper cover, a lot of plastic clips but actually very easy to get off (at least on a 2002), once I figured that out I have had mine off many times for pretty small reasons. Good luck, I wouldn't worry about the screwdriver until you have time for it, but that's just me and the level of luck I have found in life.
i didn't have any issues with the driver's side on my 05, had to loosen the battery hold down for the passenger side
