Electrical Mess

I have a 2003 Honda Civic DX. The engine light started blinking intermittently on way to work. Took it to an Auto Zone and got a new battery. Light still came on and off. Took it to a dealer (light was off), they said nothing was wrong and bring it back when the light was on. It seemed that wet/cold periods caused the light to flash more often. Finally, I was driving and the radio/air conditioner cut in and out. I made it home, turned on the headlights and they were pulsating. Shut off the car, tried to start it – no luck. If I turn the key to aux, all systems work great (radio, lights etc). When I try to start it now, I get a real fast clicking noise and all of the gauge needles shake/bounce. Thought it might be the starter but am on starter #3. The last one was installed by a dealer with genuine honda parts. The car has 96k miles. Any ideas on what could cause this?
